There is a possibility that you can become rich from not going to college. But Remember Bill has his own company and made some smart moves to get where he is. For the rest of us folks, You can survive without some sort of degree. Its easier when you are younger to go to school. When you get older, It gets to be more difficult. Time is more preciouses. Your priorities change, I am going back to school to finish, I am married and work full time to help pay the rent. The fact of the matter is, that instead of quality time with my wife, I am in a class room so that way I can get a better job. Even a 2 year degree is better then none.

But it REALLY depends on what you want to do as your first career. You might be better off in a trade school or technical school, you might be better off working as someone’s apprentice, or perhaps you would benefit from military experience.

You should at least get a Associates Degree(2 yrs.) because it is hard to get somewhere in life with a College Degree. But try to get a Bahelors Degree(4 yrs.), it will help you a lot.

If you’re a super-genius computer geek, then no, you can skip college. Otherwise, I’d say it’s better to have some structure and exposure to different subjects and ways of thinking.
