Are student loan payments cancelled in the event of death or do they become the responsibility of the cosigner
I don’t want to sound morbid, but crap happens. If a student dies before the completion of his education, will the co-signer be responsible for repayment?

Traditional federal, and state loans are canceled when you die. Are these private loans, like Sallie-Mae? Private loans might still be the responsible of the co-signer. Depends on the lender.

Yes that is correct in the event of death the student loans are cancelled. And don’t worry no body has to pay it afterwards either so yeah just relax and have fun okay…? Man you shouldn’t be worrying about stuff like that…
And oh God bless!!
