High School Health Teacher What is required?
I am a first year college student at my local community college and I am trying to figure out what kind of career I want. I have always had an interest in health education and want to know more about it.. how many years does it take? What degree/degrees do you need? If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it!

You can get a degree in,
PE: Health, Physical Education & Recreation, PE Option
REC: Health Physical Education & Recreation,REC Option
You might just need a Bachelors degree. Some community colleges offer a AAS – Fitness & Exercise. You should call or go to a four year college website and get a catalog of what programs they offer for more information.

You’ll need a 4 year degree to get a permanent teaching position in just about every state. You’ll probably want it to be in Health Education or a related education discipline so that you can also earn your teaching certificate.
