how do you become a lawyer for a publication like The New York Times?
I’m just in high school and I aspire to be a lawyer some day. On that note, I am wondering what concentration of law does such a lawyer specialize in during law school or what major does such a lawyer pursue during college.
Any advice would be wonderful.
Thanks.

If you are considering becoming “corporate counsel” (which would be an attorney for a corporation) you will probably want to focus in high school on Business Classes. For College — Pre-Law can be anything you want to make it. I would focus on Social Science classes, Business and Accounting classes and anything that has to do with the “publication” industry. Also, to help you out you may want to take extra English and Creative Writing classes. And I recommend Latin as a foreign language as it will improve your writing and understanding skills.
Once you are into College, then start focusing on what to take during law school — you will have a wider view of the world.

You would want to take classes in both corporate(business) law and entertainment law in law school. It does not matter what your major is in college. A lot of law schools like to see a varied background. I majored in political science/ prelaw but all the books that I read said that there really is no set major like if you wanted to be a doctor.
