I’m confused about college!!!!!!?

Hey i’m only 17 and i need some help finding some good but reasonable business schools. Plus what are undergraduate and graduate programs? I really want to be one of those guys that goes to work with a suit and briefcase (while making alot of money) but i know u need a MBA or something. What is it and where can i get one from without attending schooling for 10 more years and wasting my bankroll?

You seem to me like you’re looking for a “lifestyle” NOT a “career.” You want to be someone who works in a suit and carries a briefcase. You don’t need a MBA to do that! Find a job you love, and if you love it you will be good at it and therefore you will make a lot of money. Whatever that job is, you can wear your suit, carry a briefcase, and make a lot of money.

So don’t major in business if that’s not what you really want to do! But if it is what you want to do, then you should know that you will be spending about 10 years by the time you graduate with a MBA. This is because an undergraduate degree in business takes 4 years. Then, MBA programs expect their applicants to have at least 2-5 years work experience before beginning the program. The MBA itself can take anywhere from one to three years.

Good luck!

You don’t *need* an MBA, but the right MBA will open more doors for you than an undergrad degree. Undergraduate programs lead to bachelor’s degrees, what you get when you go to a four year college. You can enroll in an undergrad program after you finish high school. A graduate program requires a bachelor’s degree to enroll, and the MBA is an example of a graduate/professional degree.

I am going to Illinois State University to study business, well Accounting, which falls under it. I am currently enrolled in a program in which I can receive my masters in 5 years along with my bachelor’s. When studying for your bachelor’s you are known as an undergraduate. Anything higher is considered graduate.
