The culture shock is definitely tough and frustrating at first, but you’ll quickly bond with other students who are going through the same exact thing. In the end, you’ll be glad that were thrust out of your comfort zone…it’s truly an eye-opening experience. If you’re considering studying abroad, I say go for it! They weren’t lying when they said it was one of the best decisions you could make.

Not me personally, but I know of a few people who couldn’t take the culture shock. For instance, my sister studied in France and the most fluent student from her school wouldn’t even talk while he was over there. He was fine in the U.S. but just clammed up in France.
