I am also 16 years old, although I happen to be female. What I could suggest to you is that you already seem to know these things about yourself, that’s good. It’s always a good thing to have your downfalls known to you, or else you could never remedy them. Seeing as you do know what is bothering you the truth is that there is no one who can help you but yourself. You need to find some sort of reward system, for every letter grade you go up, or for every higher mark you are given on a test, give yourself something in return. Make sure that it is something that you cannot get at any other time, but that you sincerely enjoy. Try to make yourself strive to be the best you can be, the fact that you are asking for help says a lot about your character, and I give you a lot of credit. You’re on the right path, just keep pushing forward and soon enough you’ll find out that with a bit of effort you truly can acheive anything.

First realize that you are not going to do well just because you want to. It takes effort. If you don’t put in the time and effort, then you will be an unsuccessful lazy boy your whole life. Perhaps you should start practicing saying “Would you like fries with that?” Just joking, Perhaps see your doctor, is it possible youre laziness is really a side effect of depression? Its possible.

Most likely you just need an attitude adjustment, take focus in that no matter what you do, you should be the best, do you really enjoy people being better than you? Also don’t get stuck in the “I can’t” or “I don’t care” mindset, cause that will screw you over in all aspects of life. Good Luck.

I’d say TAKE IT EASY.

Don’t worry. Your brain is getting a bit crazy

right now still developping. The braincells are still

getting reorganized, you loose some, you create some.

It’ll pass.

Of course, laziness is not a very good thing in life

if you plan to acheive a lot. BUT, don’t worry.

Look around you, maybe there’s something,

one thing, that makes you wonder, that makes you think…

That could gets you going, and put you on the right track!!

Cheer up. And try to find out what kind of knowledge

would/ might intrest you. And START FROM THERE.

The rest will come.

You can study with a group and have everyone quiz everyone. But if you get distracted and start talking about other things that isn’t helping. You should rewrite all your notes (you can type them) Also get someone to be your audience and try to explain what you are studying to them (it can be a parent or someone from your study group) if you know how to teach it then you have learned it congrats. Also make breaks on your studying like you have to study 5 chapters and then take a break. Eat a snack or do whatever. Rewarding yourself is the easiest way to get in studying habbit. You can also have a friend quiz you over a volley ball game (LOL, i did that one time it was pretty fun)

Once there was a student who approached his teacher with a similar question. The teacher told the student, “Follow me.” The student was surprised when their walk ended at the river. “C’mon,” the teacher said, and proceeded to walk into the water. The student was confused, but curious. So, he followed.

When they reached the point where both were about waist deep, the teacher turned to the student, grabbed him by the throat and forced him under the water. The student flailed violently, but the teacher held him firm, until the student believed he was going to be drowned.

As the students fighting began to weaken, his body aching for breath, the teacher jerked him back to the surface. Gasping and choking, the student cried out, “What the hell was that all about? Are you out of your mind?!”

But the teacher looked cooly at the young man and replied simply, “When you want knowledge as much as you wanted breath, then you will have it.”

Learning self discipline is an extremely valuable tool. You can start with timing yourself. 15 minutes reading subject a. and you can take a 5 minute break, half hour, you get a 10 minute break. Start small and work your way up.

I found, when I was in school, writing things made them less boring. You can give yourself a goal in mind, like if you do well you can get yourself a present or something.

make studies fun….like challenge yourself or set a goal. I get really good grades when I do this. Here is a plan.

1. Get a bowl of ice cream (everyone loves it) and for every 5 min. you study without being distracted you get 5 bites of icecream….1 for each minute.!

Good luck!
