first distribute everything…

-3(x-3) becomes -3x+9

2(x+7) becomes 2x+14

-4(x-2) becomes -4x+8

so the new equation would read

-3x+9+2x+14-4x+8 after this you want to combine like terms so..

-3x +2x-4x = -5x

and 9+14+8 =31

so the simplified answer would read -5x+31
