(3x-1)^2 = 26

(x+2)^2 = -24

No one should but you, if you want to pass the final, you have to know the process, get to work, and stop asking for other people to do things for you.

I’ll help you with the first one since the process is the same for all of them. You want to solve the problem for x. So you want to end up with x = something. What you have is x^2 = 72, so you are almost there. You have to get rid of that extra power of x. So how do you do it? Take the square root, but you have to take the square root of both sides because you want to keep the equation balanced. So sqroot(x^2) = sqroot(72), so x = sqroot(72).
