Will it be possible to get both A’s in Physiology and Microbiology in the same semester?

I am planning to take these this coming fall semester. Is it too much to take them together and shoot for A’s in both classes? Thank you.

It’ll be a lot of work to take those in the same semester, but it also depends on what other courses you intend to take. I wouldn’t shoot for Physics or a similar third course that might push you over the edge. I would definitely take the time to reflect on whether you will truly dedicate the amount of study time it would take to get A’s in both classes (you may have to give up some ‘fun’ time this semester.) Otherwise, I say yeah, buckle down and go for it – you’ll feel much better when it’s over 😉 .

A&P at my school was separated into to sections – A&P I and A&P II. I made an A(95) in part I and a B(89) in part II. I took Microbiology and made an A. Microbiology is mostly memorization and whatever concepts you need to understand and think about are rather easy, to be honest. Microbiology labs are fun and weren’t very difficult at all. Anatomy is basically memorization, so are the labs. However, physiology requires a lot of understanding and is the toughest part of the course. A&P labs are fun too. It’s do-able if you’re willing to work hard. Who knows, you might make A’s.

Good lord, I would hope you can get A’s in both of those classes! I’ve taken Advanced Microbiology, while at the same time taking Anatomy and Phys 2, Epidemiology and Genetics, as well as some non-science credits. Aced everything. ;o) It all depends on how much work you’re willing to put into it. If you are willing to study enough, then you’ll get the A’s, no sweat.

It’s not at all impossible to get As in each you just have to apply yourself and try not to get overwhelmed. Since they both sound like very involved subjects it may be harder but if you have a study parter for each class and you don’t try to cram everything in at the last minute I believe you would have a better chance to get an A in both classes 🙂
