Why would teachers think this is so funny?
I was sitting in a room with some teachers while they were eating there lunch. I was in trouble for skipping lunch. Well I was drinking a slushie and one of them asked what I was doing, and I said “drinking.” Then another teacher said “As long as you’re not drinking and driving.” And I think they said something else, but I could understand, then they all started laughing. What’s so funny about that?

Maybe it was a play on words.Dont take it to heart.

The drinking and driving remark was a “play on words”, one of the ways we make jokes. You were upset and could not see the pun.
[Could it be that they were laughing at something else, like the other thing you didn’t hear? ]

I don’t really find it funny, I mean it’s not what I would call a “good joke”.
