Why is school so hard???

For example, I was always crap at Math and Physics but brilliant at Languages and Music.
I used my language ability and moved to a foreign country to live, met my fiancee, found work here and went to Uni here.
I am now fluent in the Czech language.
If anyone tells you that life is a breeze after school, they are taking rubbish. Life is difficult, just go to school, find out what you are good at, find out about University courses in that subject/jobs in that subject, get as qualified as possible then life is a little bit easier.
Life is a funny thing, everything seems so fine and dandy at home when you are a kid, then when you face the real world you put on weight(as you are getting older), you are trying to find the ultimate work(not so easy as it seems, requires a huge amount of luck) then you are paying off a mortgage for a house or loans for cars for the rest of your life.
Just follow your heart, it makes life a lot easier for yourself.
Please do not follow anyone elses advice, you know you, no one else knows you as well as you do.
Good luck, and don’t get gloomy about school it will be over before you know it. Just be happy you don’t have to face the uphill struggle of life outside the family circle(that is if you are still living at home!)
Be sure to choose something you are good at(unlike what I did)
But you forget that for you to have that life, your parents have to pay the bills, get you everything you need, make the world around you a nice place to live.
If you think about it, school is not even close to be hard.
Go give your parents a big hug and thank them. Then grab your books and get good grades. Without their care and education, life for you would be a daily struggle to get paid enough to eat.
Your brain has to make new leaps in thought, your patience has to stretch so you learn to focus and be persistant.
When things are easy you don’t learn anything, you don’t grow. Maybe that’s a small consolation, but the truth is, a lot of life is like that. It’s challenging, it constantly calls upon you to stretch your abilities, to become a stronger, better, kinder, smarter, wiser person.
If you break down what you have to do (or what you are learning) into small steps….it becomes alot easier.
Make simply notes and star important things you have to know for your tests.
Highlight your notes & “stars” with colored pencils or highlights. (When it’s time to study for your tests, if you review all your notes & MEMORIZE the highlighted areas, you will see you will do TERRIFIC)!!!
Being polite to your teachers is really beneficial, as your grade is also includes “your conduct in the classroom”.
Have a great year & don’t stress…teachers are always there to help you! Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Blessings, Patti
