Why is getting a student loan impossible?!?
I have been applying for loans for 2 months now. All have denied me! I don’t know what else to do. I have no cosigner, I don’t qualify for financial aid, and federal Stafford is only giving me 3500. So far I have $10k but I need another 10k. All private lenders are denying me. I really don’t know what else to do. I’m beginning to think only extremely rich people, or extremely poor people can goto college. Not people like me! My dad refuses to cosign regardless of his perfect credit. I think its to get back at my mom (they are divorced) and my mom has horrible credit (declared bankrupcy). It really makes me mad that the government will send kids to EOF but wont help someone like me get a loan even though i plan on paying it back! Plus the interest.

Try for a scholarship instead. Use this site to match yourself with the requirements of each. It made a list of over 100 that I qualified for (no mention of income either.) The main reason is that the students earn less and paying the interest is bit difficult
