Why does it feel like psychologists are doing research to tell us what we already know?
So much work goes on in getting funds, writing proposals, conducting experiments, analyzing data, making conclusions, making publications. In the end, it seems like “pooh. Every layman already knew that. Why did we have to spend so much to tell them what they already knew”. How do we justify research that gives us results that do nothing but agree with common sense?

YOU see they got bad habbit of thinking so they get funds for thinking deep into matters we already know of and dont need to think about them again. So to feed their bad habbit they get all the funds for doing nothing but thinking over things we dont have time for as we are aware of them.
