who should i avoid in middle school and why? and what should i avoid too?

In middle school, many kids begin to experiment with drugs, sex and alcohol. At this age, you should avoid any situation that would put you at risk for this type of exposure. Be friendly, but choose your friends wisely.

you should avoid people who try to get you to be someone you’re not. middle school is drastically different from elementary school and it will be a time when you grow a lot as a young person. it’s easy to get wrapped up in wanting to be popular or liked but try to stay true to yourself. and i hope i don’t need to say this but you are WAYYY to young to be experiementing with alcohol, drugs, or sexual behavior. it may be a shock to you to see these things going on, but trust me you will see it. you don’t have to shun or lecture the people who do these things, but just make sure you don’t fall into hanging out around them. one thing i’ve learned is that you are who your friends are. when i look back on middle school and high school, i realize that i didn’t do drugs or sleep around because my friends didn’t and they would have been disappointed with me if i did. plus, if you’re at the movies on a saturday night instead of a party, you’re much less likely to be tempted to do the things you know you shouldnt. be excited about this new chapter in your life, and enjoy it before it flies by!! good luck! feel free to message me if you need anything else!

It’s a pretty simple equation:

Avoid anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable for any reason.

Avoid those activities that you know aren’t good for you. Don’t do the drugs. Don’t drink the booze.

DO find your niche by trying all different kinds of school activities. For example, I never would have guessed my middle-schooler would have fallen in love with band, but she did, and she is now in the high school marching band and on her way to the Fiesta Bowl this December!

everybody always told:

beware of the girl drama

but i never believe them.

i was the nice kinda popular. and was okay with everyone.

so i didnt think anything would happen

apperantly my two best friend and i got into a HUGE fight that paractically the whole schol knew about [and more than once]

i guess you cant really escape the drama but try your best not to gossip =/

school work isnt all that bad.

as long as you have at least one cool teacher i think you’ll be fine.

avoid the nasty teachers. but dont show you hate them.

stay away from the gossipy girls. well actually you dont nessecarly have to stay away from them. but dont get caught up with they drama.

avoid lunch boxes =/

and dating….at least not at this age.

forget the whole cliques thing. if your really nice with everyone practically nobody will sterotype you.

if your cool with the older grade that always a plus [my brother one year older than me and his friends defended me when drama struck]

but if your not… then dont bother.

get into alot of extracurculier activities =]

and maybe school plays if your interested

STAY AWAY FROM PREPS! im in middl skul myself& ive lernd that preps r EVIL! o n ppl WILL offr u drugs trust me i no. but wateva they say, dont do it! dont go near th geeks, dont evn tok 2 th geeks( u’ll luk like a totl loser) try and hang out in a group so ppl dont pity u. dress nice but try not 2fall in2 fads &trends, (yes i no its hard) 2 stay sober, n clean dont hangaround “gangsta” looking ppl
