I am currently an undergrad student getting my Bachelors of Science in Information Technology. The classes that you would be required to take to major in Information Systems are the same requisite classes that you would be required to take to major in Management Information Systems.
As far as ease goes, if you familiar with the academic platform, and have not been out of school for a long time than it should not be that difficult. It really depends on the professors you get. And remember you get back what you put into it.
Employment opportunities are good for both, but salaries will vary because of the many jobs within these systems, the starting salary for most is between $45,000- $80,000 this also will vary depending on your degree and experience.
