Which college is better for science and engineering: Harvard, Princeton, or Yale?

For science and engineering, do more research. You have to pay for undergraduate rankings but US News and World Report publishes the results of its comprehensive research on graduate schools on the Web. …and it makes sense that those institutions with an excellent graduate program would also have at least a very good undergraduate program.

Of the three, Princeton has the highest ratings for engineering (18th), but doesn’t even crack the top 10 in the country (MIT, Stanford, and Berkeley are 1, 2, 3)

MIT is also number 1 in mathematics with Harvard and Princeton tied with the other two from above for second.

If you’re really serious about getting the best education possible AND you have the grades to pull it off, then the $15 you’d pay to access this info would be well spent…or you could browse print copies of college rankings guides in your local Barnes & Nobel (or other bookstore)!

Yale Engineering Program

Do you really think that if you go to any college that they do not teach you the same laws of science and the same rules of engineering. What you are really asking is what school has the best reputation and if that is your question just find out which is more expensive and restrictive with their admissions, or in other words which is the stuffiest. Otherwise I think you will find that any major university offers a valuable education in these subjects just like any other subject. It is really how the student applies themselves and the students accomplishments that will be worth the most on graduation day. So save your parents money and go to an average school and apply yourself in an above average manner. Or you can just buy yourself an Ivy league sweat shirt and walk around with your nose in the air to feel good about your self. Ether way you will get the same education. Look at our president do you really think the school makes the person. I have attended junior college courses with more intelligent people than some of those that fill the halls of our elite Universities.

You are talking about the top three universities in the US — so you aren’t going to see much of a difference. Princeton is probably marginally better in mathematics.

As for engineering — you would be better off at MIT, Cal Tech, Stanford or Berkeley. While most of the Ivy League schools have decent engineering programs, it is one of the few fields where other schools are better. In fact, the best public universities (like Berkeley, Georgia Tech or any of the schools in the Big Ten) have engineering programs that are as good or better than the Ivies.

Peoples, the man simply asked a question to decifer on which one of the three colleges, Harvard, Princeton, or Yale, is better for science and engineering. Don’t bring up other schools like MIT, it’s irrelevant to the question.

To answer your question, given that you got admitted to all three schools, it’s really a matter of your preference. I wouldn’t say one is better than the other, which probably is a lie, but the difference in what they specialize is so minor I don’t think you could go wrong with any one of them. They are called the Big Three for a reason. Their ranks are interchangeable and so are the programs they have to offer. They have to keep every branch top notch to stay competitive with other two schools, so I doubt any one of the school dropped the ball to balance out the sciene and engineering department to stay leveled.

I’m guessing you’re looking to go into biochemical engineering.

You might want to turn your attention towards MIT. MIT’s no.1 for engineering and is looked more favorably upon than the Ivies.

all three schools are amazing and i’m sure they all have the top programs in the nation for science and engineering. it’s really hard to compare those three schools.

you should do some research into it.

if ur interested in science and engineering, there are many other schools besides those that also have strong programs.

university of illinois in urbana champaign is ranked 4th in the nation when it comes to their school of engineering. i hope you arent just choosing colleges based on prestige and a name and have other choices in mind

Community carrier of a few variety. An recreation or game. Sing, triathlete, serve the deficient, animal flora and fauna conservationist. Something fascinating THEY can use to spice up their reputations. It could aid too in case your GPA and SAT rankings have been via the roof. The pageant is stiff.

First, your not getting into an ivy league school, but nice try though. Second, if your interested in science then got to MIT. Or some other school that specilizes. The ivy league is for law, business and medicine, primarily.
