Which class to take independently?

I am going to be junior in high school next year. I have finished pre-calculus and am going into calculus. Due to a lot of scheduling problems, I have to choose between taking honors English or calc. I have the option, however, to take calc. online or I could do English independently and meet with the teacher during the week. English will be hard because I will miss out on class discussions, while learning calculus independently will be just as hard. What would you recommend me do?

Tough choice. I agree with you that missing out on discussions will be a major let-down. Not only could it make it more difficult, it will just make it more boring. English is a subject in which the answers aren’t black and white, and discussion about themes and ideas can be really fun. Only talking to the teacher might get old fast. I’m not a math person, so I’d be nervous to take calculus online, but if it’s something you feel comfortable with, I’d go with that. It’s more straight forward, and you can always ask for help.

calculus is easier, all you need is a book and someone to ask questions to…. But english you really need the class discussions…something you cant get from a book.

Don’t worry about calculus, it is so ****** easy man. Get a gewd bewk, and a teacher to ask questions to and you’ll be alright.
