Where can I take Linear Algebra or Real Analysis in the evenings in the NY City/NJ area?

I just graduated from college, started work, and wanted to prepare and enhance my background to get into graduate school next year. It is crucial that I take these two courses and I was wondering if you could suggest some programs which are not too expensive, are accredited, and provide good education in these two areas.

I appreciate your help and thank you in advance for your response.

There are a number of possibilities.

The City University of New York’s senior colleges

has some evening courses in these areas. Here are some examples for the Fall of 2007.

Hunter College

Math 260, Linear Algebra MW 5:35 – 7:35 pm

Math 351, Math Analysis I MW 7:00 – 8:15 pm

Queens College

Linear Algebra I, TTH 8:10-9:50pm

Baruch College

Math 4010, Advanced Calculus I, MW 6-7pm

(Advanced Calculus is introductory analysis)

If you prefer to go outside of the City University system, then Polytechnic University in Brooklyn has the following:

Polytechnic

Math 2012, Linear Algebra, MW 6-7:15/7:50pm

Math 4613, Analysis I, TTH 6:00-8:30pm

Then, there are the universities with very presitigious math programs, NYU and Columbia, but I believe they tend not to be as flexible about letting you take individual courses without being enrolled in a degree program or being admitted as a special student.

whilst matrices are very smart in actual issues, they do no longer many times play lots of an element in actual diagnosis, exceptionally the theory. besides the undeniable fact that it is often available to be responsive to and grasp the two.
