So does yahoo, apparently: http://education.yahoo.com/college/wotd/
And both www.webster.com and www.dictionary.com will email you a word of the day:
http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/mwwod.pl
http://dictionary.reference.com/wordoftheday/list/
Try to look at the root words– SAT seems to like Latin-derived words a lot.
And there’s College Board’s Question of the Day: http://apps.collegeboard.com/qotd/question.do about every third day is a vocabulary, fill-in-the-blank question.
And also my teacher had us buy these books called Test of Time and Tooth and Nail by Charles Harrington Elster. These are story books but essential SAT/ACT words are highlighted and there is a glossary in the back. I really did enjoy the stories and whenever I get the question of the day I check to see if the word choices are in the books and 85% of the times they are.
Hope I helped 🙂
