When writting a letter…?

Do you sign the letter as:

Very truly yours,

or

Very truly Yours,

and do you put a ( ; ) at the end of yours instead of a comma?

You shouldn’t use ‘very’ and it’s not ‘truly yours’ – it’s the other way around. It should be like this:

Yours truly,

*insert name here*

That’s all. It’s always a comma, and never a ( ; ) That’s the proper punctuation.

I always end mine talk to you later, then sign my name. If it is a business letter I end it thanks for your time, then sign my name. ss
