when transferring from a comm. college to a university after a year, do you need to show them your HS grades?
or just your first year college grades?

You give them whatever they ask for on the application. With only 1 year of college to go on, I’d expect to see your high school grades myself.

I did the same thing 6 years ago on a football scholarship. I will be really honest with you and it all depends on the person you are. If you are still young and going to a CC and still living with mom and dad and like to party all the time it will be very hard. My grades did drop but it was my first time away from home. Now if you are older and have a good head on your shoulders and going to college for yourself and to better yourself then it is the same. Class sizes will be bigger and the information will be a little more difficult and papers will be harder to write but really I would say about 40% harder. So again it all depends on you. You can do the same thing and learn all the info and study or be dumb and party your butt off. You seriously at a university are in control of your destiny. GOOD LUCK with everything.

If the university you are applying to asks for them you will have to have your high school send them. Since you only have 1 year in at the community college, universities will probably also want to see your high school transcript.
