When should I take my SAT 1, 2, ACT tests?

I’m going to be a junior next year. I know that SATs and ACT are required if you want to go to UC or other universities. So when should I take my Sat 1? my Sat 2 and the ACT? Do I have to take all three? How many times can I take each of these tests? Okay thanks!!

Good that you are thinking about these things now! If you know what college you want to go to, check the admission requirements. Do they require that you take all three exams? When do they start taking applications? You want to make sure that you take the exams before their early admission dates.

If you aren’t sure where you want to go, take all three tests in the early fall of your senior year. You can take the tests more than once, but studies show that taking the test again does not dramatically increase the scores. Use the summer before your senior year to look into test prep books, etc. Make sure you are prepared the first time that you take it. You may want to take all three tests even if you think you know where you want to go just to make sure.

Good luck. You sound like a very bright and ambitious person.

You can either choose to take the SAT or the ACT. You don’t have to take both, it’s really up to you which test you think you would be better for you.

The SAT Reasoning Test (SAT I) is a 3 hour long test where most people take it towards the end of junior year and the beginning of senior year. You can take the test up to three times, so it would be better to start taking the test early because if your not satisfied with yoru score, you could take it a second or third time to try and improve it.

The SAT Subject tests (SAT II) are tests which focus in specific subject areas such as English, Math, Science, History, and Foreign Language. There are also even more tests within each subject area. For instance, for Science there is the Physics Test, the Chemistry Test, and the Biology E/M Test. It would be best to take the SAT IIs right after you’ve completed the course because the material would still be fresh in your head.

Applying to college, most colleges require you to take the SAT I test and 2 or 3 SAT II tests. Keep in mind, when it comes to taking 2 or 3 SAT II tests, you would have to take 2 or 3 different subject areas. For example, having 2 tests, one from the English area and one from the History subject area. However, this shouldn’t limit you to what tests you take because you can take as many Subject tests you want and take them as many times as you want.

When it comes to the ACT, I don’t much about it but I think it’s similar to the SAT in length and difficulty. The only real difference is that the ACT does not have a written section.

I would take each as soon as you can so you have time to retake as needed. To respond to what other people are saying, I would not just pick or choose the ACT or the SAT. Some people will do really well on one and poorly at the other. When I took it (Years ago…;;) I did exceptionally well on the ACT but pretty average on the SAT. Take both and see which one you’re better at. There are a lot of differences between the two. Not only is there the difference of the writing portion but the ACT has a science section, unlike the SAT.

a million. The ACT can conceal single matters i.e. math english, even although the SAT, no longer the SAT 2 (it is oddly such as the ACT) in basic terms handles dissimilar factors. 2. you will would desire to pay a minimum quantity for each time which you’re taking the examination. it incredibly is in basic terms the linked fee for the look after that retains you from cheating and the fee for the room. It replaced into someplace around $50 or so if I remember. 3. The SAT replaced into the least perplexing. It has the main learn cloth for many pupils, and is the widest conventional form of “intelligence quotient” utilized by using all optimum establishments. different than for psychological establishments although…. 4. particular you will would desire to positioned aside the time and register your self and the time for the Saturday which you would be examined. Get the studyguides. bypass in the time of the learn courses. Do each little thing you may to get mushy with the try way previously you’re taking it. I took it thrice, commencing with a score of 830, the final time with a score of 1250. They take your terrific score, so don’t be frightened of it and bypass do your terrific.

I chose not to take ACT, but I hear if English isn’t your thing, some people do better.

I would recommend taking SAT 1 in January, then retaking it until you’re satisfied with your score.

Take SAT IIs right after you take the classes…I took mine in June. You don’t want to much time to elapse between when the material is fresh in your brain and when you take the test.
