Whats the difference between the THREE Columbia University (the ones in NYC)?

They are all part of Columbia University so they are all Ivy League. If you want to study architecture you would apply at Columbia College and I’m sure you would need a portfolio to apply. Keep working hard in school – take AP of IB if you can. These are the SAT scores of the middle 50% of students at Columbia: critical reading 660 – 760, math 660 – 760, writing 660 – 700. Yes, you would have a better chance if you applied early decision.

What you listed are not three separate universities, but three schools of Columbia University. The university itself is part of the Ivy League. So really, all of them are Ivy League. They offer different studies. If someone wants to be an art major, he wouldn’t go to the engineering school.

Your GPA is good. What you have shown is improvement through out high school.

I recommend that you do some research on the university and find out its average SAT score for the most recent incoming class. Aim to get at least that score when you take the test.

In the US, a university is composed of several colleges with different majors. The engineering college offers majors that you can’t get in the school of general studies, and vice versa.

Columbia is very competitive. I suggest besides grades and SATs, you show leadership in some outside club or activity, to distinguish your portfolio from others who merely have good grades.

Columbia is a great school, but not the only school. It would not be so terrible to go to another good school.

Thank you for asking this question because it is an answer i am seeking also. The answers are enlightening to me but have caused me to have a few other questions as a result. Do any of the 3 cause you to see God in your fellow man every minute of every day or is this an intellectual discussion only? Tvamevaham would always see each other as I AM THOU? When a person reaches that understanding do they automatically forgive the world and their brothers? At that level, have all differences of opinion been dissolved? I read that people that awaken from the dream usually do not stay in a body very long. Do your enlightened ones leave the body early? Thank you for this wonderful lesson.
