Whats a good book/training manual/reference guide to wilderness survival?
1.Fire starting methods
2.Shelter construction
3. Edible plants
4. First aid without equipment.
I guess what I am looking for is a good reference guide that has a veriety of different methods. When you answer this question please include your level of experience in survival and why you like your book. Also if you have it a ISBN number would be great. Thanks. Cody

You may also contact the Government Printing office. If you can get your hands on a copy of the US Air Force Pilot’s survival training material or as a second choice the US Navy.
They are probably equally good, I’m just retired from the Air Force and still hold that loyalty.
There is a tremendous amount of information to absorb but if I can do it so can you.
Ref: Winter in Fairbanks, AK… Summer in Gila Bend, AZ. If you can get water at -60 F and at 125 F there won’t be many things left that will frighten you very much. You will respect a situation but approach it with a “Can Do” attitude and your mind working.
Giving up and a mental shut down is what kills people.
includes edible plants, ones to avoid, energy needs, determining direction, rescue signals, climates and much more!
