The contact lens was invented in 1636, by Rene Descartes. But it wasn’t until 1887, when F.E. Muller finally found a see through and tolerable contact lens.

idk. hey im not that smart but i think it was invented bout 100 yrs ago. but glass was invented in the 3000 BC. It was invented by Otto Wichterle in 1956. I think
