Public. It was dirty and it had virtually no windows. Most of the teachers were great, most of the students had no futures.

Over 4 years, assigned 12 books to read per year. Out of 48, I “sort of” read 12.
Went to Junior Prom with blind date who kept singing in my ear the entire time–“Brusha, Brusha, Brusha. Here’s the new Ipana [toothpaste]”. Arrrgh!
Our class motto turned out to be “Into every life a little rain must fall–but this is RIDICULOUS!” It rained on every event we had in all 4 years–even on Graduation Day which was June 10!
50th anniversary next year, but it will probably be skipped…we have only had a 10th and a 25th.

Public. It was a lot of fun! I hear it’s less fun now. Our classrooms were full back then; now, there’re half again as many students, I don’t know where they’d put them all!
