What schooling does an admissions counsler need?

I think that is what I want to do, but what do I need to major in and such?? please help me! I want to make out my schedule this week so a major would help~ haha

Well, that depends on what type of school you want to work for. If you want to work for a proprietary school (for profit such as U. of Pheonix, or ITT) then you would only need up to an associates in most cases. If you want to work at a traditional state or private school you will need a Bachelors of Science or Arts. I would recommend either something in the business administration field with an emphasis geared towards the type of college you want to be at (Financial for a business college or HR Management, Information Technologies/Services or Math for a Science College, that kinda thing) OR something in the education field.

The important thing to plan for with your major is to plan for your entire education, not just one semester. If you only make a plan for one semester, and do this every semester it will be difficult to visualize your goal accuratly. Sit down with your catalog and review all the courses required for your degree. Then review course requirements, and select areas of interest for electives. This will keep you on track.
