I’m sure that you have the credentials to be accepted to a private college–outside of a high SAT score– if you’re asking this question. In fact, it’s a good question as many liberal arts schools are making submissions of SAT scores optional. During my Senior year at Mount Holyoke, the school was decidedly moving towards an SAT optional policy. I’d think that the other Seven Sisters would’ve taken a similar position by now. According to the article listed below, there are at least twenty-five top liberal arts schools that don’t require testing and Bowdoin and Bates haven’t done so in decades.

Most colleges require taking the SAT, however there are a few that will allow you to take the ACT instead.
