what is this trying to say?what does it mean.?

a pearl is not a pearl, until it is out of its shell….it means everyone has some or the other talent.the only thing required is that one has to come out of his or her cocoon.

unless you live life and have some lifetime experiences how will you know about your potential.

Let’s examine the pearl and it’s oyster.

A pearl is created when a grain of sand enters into an oyster and the oyster cannot “eject” it. It becomes an irritant to the oyster, so it starts producing “nacre” which is a substance which coats the sand grain over and over and over, smoothing it out so it’s not so much of an irritant to the oyster. The oyster can live with the, now, pearl, for the rest of it’s life, however, it is not a valuable thing to Mankind until it is “discovered” when an oyster is opened up.

So, the pearl is not a pearl (an object of value) until it is out of the oyster’s shell/body. The oyster is what actually created this object of value, so the last part of the saying is a wish that your life will make you a valuable thing, a precious thing; that your life will take the small “grain” (the “beginning” you) and layer it with many layers of “nacre” (life experiences), and that you will turn out to be a very precious thing!

The first part of that is like the saying “If a tree falls and no one hears, does it still make a noise.” A pearl won’t “be” a pearl until some one finds it and takes it out of the oyster shell. “Life can be your oyster” suggests that life, with it’s trials and tribulations, will make a person grow into a “pearl”. Remember, pearls are formed when a grain of sand (or some other irritant) is put into an oyster.

You cannot be the “pearl” person you are until you get out of your “shell” and experience the world (or oyster).

The quote means that you should live everyday to the fullest and come out of your shell like the pearl; only then will you experience all that life has to offer.

You have not lived life fully until you have discovered your inner self completely. Life is a continuous process of learning.

I think it means that the way a person lives their life may be holding them back from their true potential.

Life can be something great if you take the time and effort to get it…
