Prerequisite – something that is needed before something is to happen. Being able to swim is a prerequisite of entering the Iron Man.

Requisite – necessary for success. “Having the right skills to get the job done”. means the same as “having the requisite skills.”

Required/requirement – Something that is needed. A must-have.
