what is extended analysis procedure?

Extended analysis would be done to see if the child is progressing. We call it progress charting. Such as checking a reading level weekly or bi-weekly, then charting it so that you can see if what you are doing is making a difference or if you need to go in a different direction to help a child learn. We write quarterly updates to IEP’s and need to have charting to back up our claims that a child has made progress on their goals.
