what is difference b/w resolve and solve & extend and expand?

Resolve means to make a firm decision about something, or to come to a firm conclusion about a problem, which may have many solutions. Solve means to figure out the answer, usually a problem that has only one answer or a limited number of answers, such as in math.

Resolve is a resolution, while solve is a solution. I resolve to make myself a better person, and one way to do that is by solving the all my math problems correctly.

Extend is one dimensional, it means to stretch out or make longer. Expand is multi-dimensional, it means to make bigger or in greater detail.

I will extend the deadline, but then I want you to expand on your answers more.

Discrete means to do something so as not to be observed, such as you discretely feed your dogs under the table so your Aunt Ruth won’t get mad.

Considerate means that you display an awareness of how your actions could affect other people, such as you change your mind about feeding the dog under the table, because your Aunt Ruth would get upset if she knew.

I thought I would be considerate of your feelings by discretely giving you a tampon without anyone seeing.
