What is a good job for a college students?

Waiting tables is good – it’s good cash, and it’s flexible so if you need to study, you can do so without major schedule worries.

Also, many restaurants feed their employees for free at the end of your shift, so you’ll save $$ on food while you make $$ in tips.

Plus, everyone should work in foodservice once in their lives.

It gives you perspective when you go ut to eat.

It really depends on the person and their interests. Your college may have a employment or career service center that can help you. Generally students seek something part time that has very flexible hours. When you go for a job interview whoever it may be take them a copy of your class schedule and make them aware of your need and demands as an employee. Look for something that pays highly by the hour because you may not have many hours to work. Also keep in mind that your schedule may change throughout the semester, think about this and make sure your employer is willing to accommodate you.

If you enjoy working with people with disabilities, try working part or full time as a mental health or developmental disabilities tech. Basically, those with significant disabilities are learning how to work and/or live in the community. You might have to escort a seventeen year old to the mall or an eight year old to the park and teach them how to behave in these areas. Documentation and training required is minimal and you only have to work with one person at a time. Usually hours are night and weekends, somewhat flexible and well-paid (maybe $10 to 13 per hour).

Something relating to what your major is at your school, so that you can get a little ‘real-world’ experience in it. I believe tax is not taken out of your paycheck as well. You don’t have to worry about them giving you overtime and you are able to work on schoolwork when it is not busy. Choice 2 would be the library, you would be able to get loads of help if needed. 😉

Or, work reservations or baggage handling for an airline and get amazing flight benefits…

I have heard library is the best place. You get time to do your studies there and also you come across a lotta books all the time.

look for something that eraltes to your major (check with your individual department of study). This way you get some “experience” to add to your resume that can reflect your career path in the future!

if u live on-campus, its good to work at the bookstore, food places, or the gym.
