What happens if I get a D in college?

It is just a record at a university. Most places of employment (exception is schools for a teaching job) won’t even want to see a university transcript, they will just see whatever GPA you put down on your resume.
Oh, and if you get a higher degree at another institution, maybe everything at your current one will be ignored by even the schools seeking teachers?
Basically, chill, you passed. Keep working hard in future classes instead of making one difficult experience lead to another. I’d probably be unhappy too. You could probably grade appeal if you think the grade was unfair but I’ve done it and it’s very time draining and difficult.
Addendum — You could retake the class. That might possibly slow you down in getting a degree but it might be worth it.
Mom, Dad although I studied and attended extra tutoring courses I received a D in ____, but I plan to retake this course to have a better understanding and continue to pursue investment banking.

Whatever fits your situation.
A D is not an end all. Remember your GPA is an average. A few A’s will offset this one D.
Most employers will not consider your GPA, but the recommendations of your professors. Your character and knowledge are more important than how well you take a test or present in-front of a classroom. Can you translate the “theory” of a college class course into practical application.
This does not define you. You’ll be fine. This is a learning experience. Treat it as such.
if we get lower than B minus in average, we are recommended to shift to another course
to me I retake the subjects and do it better or… take another course…?
