Schools do it to make classes longer, which helps with the flow of classes as you can get more involved with in class learning and assignments and eliminates time wasted in changing classes. They think it also helps prepare you for classes in college, which can be longer.

It does have it’s benefits. If you don’t feel like doing homework for that class that night you can skip it and wait an extra night. If you have class on Thursday and you don’t have it again till Monday you have the whole weekend to do homework if you want! It works out pretty good. You’ll get used to it.

Umm…ok, I think you mean if students had ALL of their classes everyday, its better right?

Well, no. You see, if it was like that, the work builds up and then there is the lack of time to teach. For instance, my high school has 8 classes, 4 a day. It goes by even and odd numbers…so there is no build up with work, no confusing dates for tests or whatever and about an hour and a half with all teachers.
