I’m not sure about Fowrty Four (Do you mean forty-four? Is it spelled out or is it written as 44?) but -30- written at the end of an article (like that, i.e. the number with a dash before and after with no spaces) basically means “The End”. It is an old newspaper expression indicating the last issue, i.e. the publication will no longer be published.
