What does “form-factor limitations” mean?

Here’s the sentence where it was used:

“Due to form-factor limitations, Nintendo removed the headphone jack, which had been included on all previous Game Boy models.”

In this case what they are referring to is the size and shape of the unit. My guess is that Nintendo changed the style of the Game Boy and in doing so they could no longer fit the headphone jack and components. This link has a definition that should help explain it.
