Generally, people who are catagorized as ’emo’ are ones who’s looks suggest a vulnerability. However, now, it’s often used when referring to a style of dress, a kind of (usually bad) poetry, etc.
Emo originally is a rock genre. Emo music started in the 1980’s. The lyrics tend to be more like abstract poetry and is difficult to understand. The vocals range from normal singing to “a kind of pleading howl to gut-wrenching screams to actual sobbing and crying.”
Recently, it means more of the ’emo’ fashion; which includes – but is not limited to – sporting tight T-shirts, crusty hair brushed to one side, horn-rimmed glasses, and eyeliner (or “guyliner” as the case may be).
emo’s are all like depressed so they are emotional people
