What does a college student need?

Sheets, towels, toiletries, clothing. Added to that but not essestial: microwave, stereo, fridge (I am not sure this shouldn’t be an essential). Notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, computer, calculator.

Dorm: shower carry tote, mini fridge, microwave, hot pot, microwave safe dishes, towels, shoe organizer, any closet organizer to make the most of your small space, lots of plastic store totes. Extra blankets — you can always take layers off, soaps/quarters for laundry, laundry basket.

Classes: notebooks, pens, pencils, white-out, laptop and carry bag, backpack of somesort if you don’t have a laptop, jump drive, books for classes, highlighters, tape recorder is helpful too.

Each dorm should have RAs, resident assistant or residence adviser. It has been so long ago, I don’t even remember what RA stands for exactly.

I would contact him or her and get their suggestion or visit their room.

Do not plan on bring too much stuff to your room. Clutter will lower your productivity and can even lead to depression. Bring things will help you organize your time and space better.

also, books for each class, sometimes VERY expensive

then food, clothing and shelter and beer, and if they are lucky some condoms

fridge, beer, notebooks, calculator, money for books, book bag, pens and pencils, condoms
