what do you need to bring when registering your child in a new school?

Birth certificate

shot records

Social Security Number

proof of residency (utility bills)

past report cards (if this applies)

Tax return (if you are applying for free/reduced lunch program)

The items you absolutely need vary from school to school, but it would be extremely helpful to the school if you had

1. birth certificate

2. proof of immunizations

3. last report card or transcript

4. Proof of residency (in our area we accept driver’s license, rent bill, utility bill, etc.)

5. Copy of the last IEP, if the child has one

6. Name, address, and phone number of last school

7. Anything (papers, information) that will help the school decide what class to put your child in

8. Doctor’s note if there are any special needs or restrictions.

9. Money – some schools require small fees for lockers, or they may have yearbooks or tshirts on sale at registration

10. Photo ID

call the school register. somewhere along the lines u need to bring ur kid’s latest school report card, proof that u are a citizen or non-citizen, proof of where u’re living, medical information and other emergency information. best bet is to call the school register.

Their old school records.

Perhaps their birth certificate.
