what do you call the exam in the US that you take when you want to go to medical school? what was it like?
is it divided into different parts? like bio, chem, etc? how should i prepare?

MCAT. Not so bad if you’re pretty smart.

It is called the MCAT and they recently changed to to a computer format so the test is shorter. Below is their official site. I know it has a little bit of everything (organic chem, physics, math,etc). On sites like these and Kaplan the have practice questions and stuff so I would do that. They also have prep classes that you could look up and take.

MCAT, took it several years ago so I can’t remember the format but I know there was an essay section and organic chem section. You can take a Kaplan review course.

Medical College Acceptance Test (aka MedCAT, or MCAT)
Haven’t taken it, but know many who have. It is a very, very, very, very difficult exam. Must have advanced knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, all the sciences, and logic/scientific reasoning.
