What courses would I need to take to become a neonatologist or a RN working in the NICU?
I need some guidance as to what classes to sign up for this semester.

It’s not very clear to me where you are at in terms of your studies…
because neonatologist and NNP (neonatal nurse practitioner) both take care of newborns but they require completely different degrees/programs.
A neonatologist is an MD who has done a residency in pediatricis and a fellowship in neonatology. That’s 6 years total after graduating from medical school. (3+3)
A RN who works in the NICU is usually NNP, which requires another year of study (a master’s degree) and more practice hours after obtaining the RN degree. Here’s a link

Both are pretty intense programs…NICU is an intense place.

You need to become an RN with at least a BSN, then you can specialize after you graduate and get some experience.
