Nuts that are grown there are important, because you get a product to sell and you don’t have to cut down the beautiful trees
The people in that area may also use forest gardening, which allows things to grow in the shade of the trees. Especially as the ozone layer disappears, we will need to do more of this type of gardening to protect plants from the harsh rays of the sun.
You would probably get more answers if you put this type of question in the environmental area.

i dont really understand your question.but i think i know what you mean. There are millions of products that are made from the materials that re found in rainforests.. Gum, Poison (from those tiny lil frogs, .. lookit up on google .. its so easy

There’s Sun Bear gallbladder, and decorative gorilla-hand ashtrays. Not to mention the furs and skins. Uhh, how’bout old-growth hardwoods like mahogany? Elephant ivory? Moluccan Cockatoo spleen, I dunno. Bufotoxic frogs. The Yew tree. Yanomamo Indians.
