“I have lived in Chicago for a long time.” and “I am living in Chicago for a long time.”

I have lived in Chicago for a long time – is past tense. You have already been lliving there for a long time

I am living in Chicsgo for a long time. Is present tense… but referring to a future event.

They were living in Chicago for a long time and they are presently living in Chicago scheduled for a long time (job assignment related maybe?)

“I have lived in Chicago for a long time” is correct and “I am living in Chicago for a long time” is not. The latter version is a grammatical construction peculiar to South Asia, most notably India.
