what are the advantages and disadvantages of immigration?

Advantage – crop workers, Hispanic immigrants make up the bulk of the worker who yield are crops. Without out them there would be less in the stores and it would cost more.

It’s complex. The same advantage is also considered a disadvantage from a different point of view. THe US has made a lot of money stealing the best minds from foreign countries. It’s an advantage to us, but from the other side of the coin, it is very bad for the country where we stole these minds. Health care is a good example. Canada does not pay their doctors well relative to the developed worlds. THe relative low salaray cause few of the educated to want to be a doctor in Canada. On teh other hand, the pay in Canada is much higher than that of third world countries, so Canada open up their doors for doctors to immigrate into Canada. It might mean improve health at a low cost for Canadians, but it also means that countries who are far more desperate for medical health would be deprived of Doctors. I’ll let others fill in the gap since I don’t want to write a book today.

It is adventageous for the people coming into this country-jobs, though some are treated like slaves, low wages, working for the rich. But they can get medical care. It is bad for the U.S. in some ways: different religions, other than Christianity, Muslim, for example, challenge the way we have always done things-prayer in school, Xmas mangers in public places. People don’t like to change. I for one think it’s a good idea to have diversity-it will open our eyes to what’s going on in the rest of the world. Politically speaking, voting blocks-good for them, to get descent treatment. Bad for the pols-they’ll have to do something for all of us. We don’t have to care about ourselves only. Just some thoughts off the top of my head.
