That depends on what the essay is about and what you have been saying about that topic. As a general rule, your conclusion reverts back to your topic sentence, like closing the circle by making a statement that brings the whole essay together in a coherent whole.

When giving a talk, the speaker sometimes says “In conclusion,” which is a signal to everyone that the talk is almost over. But that isn’t done in written essays because the reader can see that s/he has come to the end of the manuscript.

I don’t think you should use phrases such as “In conclusion,” or “To conclude,” or anything like that. Avoid them! I don’t believe you need a specific word or phrase to lead into your conclusion. I always find those tacky. Just get straight to the point.
