What are good listening activities?
Hi! Im an aspiring english teacher and my professor is asking us to make a compilation of listening activities.
I hope you could help me out here.

Say two sentences almost the same – and ask for the different words used.
Give a description of a place with many adjectives. Ask the listener for feedback about the place
Sing a note, and ask the listener to sing the exact same note.
Ding a bell 3 times, 9 times and then 4 times. Ask the listener for the exact number of rings.
Say a sentence in a jumble eg “Shopping the my great went yesterday mall to aunt”, and ask for the correctly said sentence.

Well if music includes your compilation, you could do the “Bently test” but i highly doubt that would be allowed. Y not try those tapes of people reading out a novel of some kind? that way quotations get stuck into your head more and i find thats handy when im doing my novel study in english:)

Would you be comfortable compiling phonics lesson? There are rules to everything: EX: the letter g has two sounds /j/ and /g/. Explain the rules, or have the students listen to the sound and see if they could come up with the rules for these two sounds.
