Vocabulary Problem?

Hi! I’ve been memorizing vocabulary for a longggg time since March. Sometimes, however, even though I make flashcards and look at sentences from books, and from other stories in the newspaper, to learn new words, I forget them after a long time. Should I review? There are so many to review, I’m not sure how to. I have some on flashcards, some on the computer. I usually memorize maybe 6 or 7 a day consistently. Some come from novels, some from newspapers, some from SAT word lists, some from SAT books. I think there are a little more than 500 words to review, to give an estimate. Approximately 140 are in flashcards. I am really wondering how I can keep all of this in my head, as I don’t think my memory is very good at all.

I’m doing this so I can hopefully get a better score on the SAT, and also do well in reading comprehension at school, when having to study for english tests, or biology or chemistry tests. Also, this memory might be a problem, since high school requires memorization.

You must review. The brain makes a pathway with your memories. The less the path is traveled, the less accurate the path will become. If you walked through the woods on the same trail everyday, it would probably never become overgrown. However, if you stop traveling this path everyday, it will start to become overgrown until it is no longer a pathway at all. The more you review the better you encode your brain with information and the easier it will be to accurately recall this info. good luck!

if your memory isn’t good, then yes, you are going to have to review, review, review. the harder you work, the easier it will be. you may want to work on your memory, that’s the only way you’re ever going to get through college. you will always have to memorize a ton of information, so you better start learning how to do it now.

Take test of your own write all the words in a paper and write the answers for that then check it in this way you can find how perfect you are learn the wrong answers and again test yourself defenitly in this way you can improve your memory.
