UCSD v.s. SDSU?

im looking at those for college(im in 12th grade now, in los angeles). i like how SDSU has the exact academics i like-psychology, child/family development, and nutrition, and even a program where i can concentrate on all three. however, im not a partier and i heard they always are partying! UCSD seems more my type(have fun on weekend, but study when u need to), but the academics on their website confuse me. what do you think? let me know if ur a student at one of them too.

Visit both schools, and make sure to sit in on a class in one of the majors you’re interested in. If you like the atmosphere of the school and you feel like the classes are well-taught, you’ll be just fine at either one. I would recommend talking to one of the admissions counselors at UCSD- ask them to explain whatever you don’t understand about the academics as presented on their website. In the end, make your decision based on which seems like the kind of environment you’d do best in.

Keep in mind, though, that just because a school has a party rep doesn’t mean you have to be psycho-party-kid. You can find friends anywhere who don’t go in for excessive partying. They might be harder to find at SDSU, but they’ll be there.
